Screensaver CPU usage

Is there any way to monitor the CPU usage while the screensaver is active? I
am just curious to see the results of the various screensavers CPU usage so
I can choose one that does not tax the processor needlessly.
TIA

Why bother with a screensaver at all. Just set the monitor to 'sleep' after
ten minutes or so.

Why do you need to know how much processor power a screen saver is
using? If you really want to know, maybe open up task manager
(ALT-CTRL-DEL), and keep it running while letting the screen saver enage
for a while(15 seconds should be plenty), then under the Performance tab
of the task manager, it'll show you a history of CPU usage(resiaze the
manager first to give you longer history). Perhaps this will work?

Yeah this does.

Just use the Preview option in the Desktop Properties
Screen Saver tab to turn on the screen saver while
Task Manager/Performance is up. Let the SS
run for about 30 sec then move the mouse-your desktop
will click back on and you can see what CPU was used.

Too damn much, IMO, which is why I don't use them.
