Pressing the "Print Screen" key will take a screen shot and copy it to the
clipboard. Bring up Wordpad, Paint, Word, etc and click Edit and Paste.
Alt + Print Screen will copy only the active window.
 
If you want to do this often there is a utility called IrfanView which does
this easily and enables you to save in any format, resize etc.

It's a very handy tool and very small so I have no hesitation in suggesting
it...
