My screen saver stopped working. I have windows xp with service pack 2
installed. I go to control panel and I can see the preview, but nothing
shows on the desktop. Could it be the video card?

Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark,
Why have you zeroed in on the video card? Is it new and if it is , what sort
is it? Did the problem exist before SP2 installation? You have just reposted
the problem without supplying enough information. Have a look at these if
you haven't already tried them.

Other things to try , Start | Run | cmd,
sfc /scannow |enter|
exit |enter| .
This will check Windows Protected Files for corruption. Read this before you
proceed;

I had a problem with my screensaver but it had nothing to do with any of the
above. It turned out to be
outdated keyboard software.
Good luck.

I had the same problem with my computers after installing SP2. Go to your
screen saver and check the box "on resume, display welcome screen" I did
that on all 3 of my computers and the screen saver now works.
