Screen Saver Slide Show Not Running Because of Error

The Screen Saver Slide Show is not running because of an error. Just a
blank screen with that simple of an error description. It was working until
recently.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi;

Did you recently install a picture/photo manipulation or viewer program? If
so the properties on your exsisting pictures might be altered, this is the
case with ACDSEE.

Hope this helps

If you have any video files in the folder you are using for the Photo
screensaver, it will not work. Remove any video files from the folder.

I figrued that out... However It DID run fine with videos before. showed them
and all.. was great.

Something broke it.. and it seems to be the consensus with a bunch of people

So I hope its in the next patch.

I had the same problem.

I just bought a new computer (HP Pavillion) with Vista.

I was using the "Photos" screensaver. In the "Settings", it had an option
to "Zoom and Pan". I used it many times and it worked correctly. There were
3 videos that came with the computer, and they played just fine, along with
the photos.

Suddenly, my screen saver stopped "zooming and panning" and the videos
stopped working. When I pressed "Settings", where I used to be able to
choose what theme my screen saver would play (classic, fade, pan and zoom,
etc), it said my "video card doesn't play themes". It played them before. I
didn't change anything.

I had this problem and another, after failing to find a solution to this I
moved on to the next and it fixed both my problems. Problem I fixed was
Server Execution Faild, with a red "X" over the icon. This is what I
did....Simply run a command prompt as an administrator (right-click on it and
click "Open as Administrator") then enter the following command line:

net localgroup "Administrators" "NT Authority\Local Service" /add
