Screen saver problem

The screen saver on my Win2k machine has not been functioning recently.

I have configured it in the normal way by - Right clicking the
Desktop/Display Properties/Screen Saver.

I am using the standard MS Screen Savers - 3D flower Box for example with a
wait time of 15 minutes, and Power set to 25 mins.

It functions ok in Preview, but does not cut in automatically after the
preset time.

For rapid test purposes, I have set the Wait Time to 1 minute and Power to 3
mins, but it still doesn't work.

I have recently installed an unbranded (MS compatable) wireless optical
mouse and keyboard. These work ok, but I suspect may be inhibiting the SC in
some way?

I also have Zone Alarm installed.

Can anyone suggest any possible solution? This would be much appreciated.

I would vote for the wireless optical as being the problem also. Try
removing them and see if system returns to normal.
