Screen saver/ power options problem

I have my screen saver set up to come on after three minutes and for the
monitor to shut down after 5 minutes. The screen saver comes on correctly,
however, instead of the monitor shutting down, the desktop resumes. It does
this on all screen savers except flying windows. Does anyone know what might
cause this?

After I posted this, I started p***ing around with my computer. I have
Spysweeper loaded on my computer, and they came out with a newer version.
Whenever I shut down Spysweeper, my screen savers and power options work
fine. I have a tech request out to Spysweeper about this, but haven't heard
from them yet.

The update listed below I have loaded, so I think it's Spysweeper's fault.
