Screen saver policy

I am trying to implement a screen saver / lock workstation
policy. The policy is not taking effect on my test
machines. I found KB article 305357 that references a
hotfix for this problem on W2k SP1 and SP2 machines. All
of my test workstations and DCs are SP3. I have tried
upgrading a workstation to SP4 but the policy still has no
effect.

The policy itself is linked correctly and is not being
filtered. I get no warnings or errors in the event logs.
If I add something such as a logon banner to the policy it
gets applied, only the screen saver settings are not
applied.

Anyone else had this problem?

Do the computers you are setting the screensaver on have the screen saver
file you are "calling"?

Yes. Originally I was using WinExit.scr from the resource
kit. When I ran into problems I switched the policy to
logon.scr since it is part of the OS.

Do you have ALL this settings enable?

Active screen saver
Screen saver executable name
Password protect the screen saver
Screen saver time out

Make sure they are, if you missed one.
