Screen saver interferes when capturing video

My company laptop is set to have screen saver kick in after 15 min of idle.
(I can't override it.) Can I just let the movie continue to be captured even
if screen saver kicks in? I activated the computer screen after the screen
saver kicked in, and the movie that I was trying to capture stopped and an
error message is shown. Thanks.

You should be able to set the screen saver to never come on.
