screen saver and wireless mouse incompatible?

screen saver will not function as long as MS wireless laser mouse 6000
receiver is connected to the USB port. when disconnected, screen saver works
perfectly. can anyone help

That means your mouse is the culprit.Replace that.

I had the same problem. I called Microsoft help desk and the fix for my
screen saver was to click on start button and then click on run and type in
msconfig. once in nsconfig click on startup and see if you have a file called
EHTRAY if so uncheck the box. This software was running in the background and
causing my screensaver not to come on. After doing this my screensaver works
fine with my wirless mouse and keyboard. If this doesn't work for you call
microsoft help desk.
