Screen resolution

How can I adjust the brightness of the screen, I can't seem to find anything
in control panels. There is no appearance or theme as MSN suggests, any
ideas? Using Windows XP IBM Thinkpad 1 yr. old

They're 2 way to adjust brightness ..
Use the control on the front or left side of your monitor.
See if the video card's manufacturer's driver can do it via the Display
Properties dialog
