I changed my screen resolution in order to better view a video. When I
changed it back, the Send/Receive window that shows incoming and outgoing
mail popped up far to the left of the Windows Mail window, instead of right
above it where it has always been. I re-started the computer, but that did
not fix the problem. I want to get the Send/Receive window to pop up where it
used to--it is currently inconvenient for viewing. Does anyone have any
suggestions?

Open the new mail window>position it where you want it by dragging it with
your mouse>now resize the window slightly by dragging the edges, and close
it, it should open next time as you just closed it.

It isn't the mail window that is the problem; it is the Send/Receive window.
That window cannot be dragged; it can barely be touched, as it flashes up and
is gone so quickly.

Do you see the push-pin icon on the bottom right of that window, if not
click the details button.

Hitting the push-pin will lock the window open and allow you to drag it.

After it closes, on the Status bar, double click the "New mail" or "No new
messages" icons. That should bring the send/receive dialog back up so that
you can manipulate it.

There is no pushpin icon, and I am unable to click on the Details button--I
had already tried that. If I can even get to it, clicking on it does nothing;
the window still flashes off. Perhaps some time, when there is an error and
the window remains on the screen, I can do something, but not as is. '

I appreciate your help. Do you think I should just wait for an error, or is
there anything else I can do?

If you can't see enough of the Send/Receive window to click the push-pin
etc, then you will have to induce an error in Send/Receive, that error will
keep the window open.

Go to tools>accounts>select one of your accounts>properties>server tab, now
change the POP server name so the account will not work correctly, obviously
remember the correct server name so that you can put it back correctly.

Now right click on the Windows Mail button that appears in the task
bar>select Move>and use your Arrow keys to move it over.

HTH?

Nice one Sinner, use the Move method that I described, after following
Sinner's advice.

That did it! Thanks to all, and Mac--I was about to induce an error when
Sinner posted this fix.
