screen orientation in windows XP on a desktop PC

My 2 year old was fiddling with my desktop this morning, and somehow he
managed to rotate the screen orientation 90 degrees. I have no idea how to
rotate the screen back again and my neck is suffering. Any ideas how I retate
it back again?

It's a feature of your video card. Try Ctrl-Alt-Up Arrow (or sometimes
Ctrl-Shift-R).

This doesn't really give us enough information. I would think that he may
have dragged the taskbar to the side of the screen. Are the icons turned as
well? If they aren't then just right click on the task bar and make sure
there is not a checkmark next to lock taskbar(if there is just left click it
to remove the checkmark). Left Click anywhere in the open on the taskbar and
drag it to the bottom. Next Right click on it and left click lock taskbar so
this doesn't happen again.

Now if the Icons are rotated as well you can try ctrl+alt+up arrow if that
doesn't work then you will need to first turn your head sideways! Then you
will need to find where the manufacturer of your Video cards settings can be
changed usually just right click the open desktop and click properties.
There will then be a tab within there with their settings. Good Luck,

On my computer anyway, this is controlled by right-clicking the
desktop, choosing "Properties", selecting the "Settings" tab, clicking
the "Advanced" button, then choosing the "Rotation" tab on that dialog
box.

The exact path - especially what to look for after clicking the
"Advanced" button - may vary somewhat depending on your hardware, but
the setting should be in there somewhere.
