screen freezeup

about every 90sec to a minute my screen hangs up, for
about 4-5 seconds, then "unfreezes" for a quick second
then refreezes about another 5-6 seconds. i have
reformatted, and without any stand alone programs
installed it continues to do this. i've tried everything
i know. thanks dale

The reason may be:
- no installed drivers for MB (IDE),
- no DMA support enabled for HDD derives,
- high priority application (service) working,
- "broken" hardware,
- [...]
