SCREEN DISPLAY TO SMALL

hi i'm using windows xp home edition and its a dell
inspiron 1100 laptop and my screen is too small it on low
something like that i'v tryed properties and then dragging
the slider to the right but it does'nt move PLEASE CAN U
HELP ME !!!

1. Open the settings where you see the slider.
2. Click on the "Advanced" button.
3. Follow these instructions for both the "Adapter"
and "Monitor" tabs:
a. Click on the tab.
b. Click on the "Properties" button.
c. Click on the "Driver" tab.
d. Click on the "Update Driver" button.
e. Use the recommended options (search for driver
automatically.)
f. Try moving the slider again.
