Hi - I have a 2000 iMac OS 9.2 ( which my friend gave me about 6 yrs. ago)
and Outlook Express 5 is my mail manager. I am on a dial-up system to get
my email. Last week I clicked on the Outlook "Send& Receive" and the whole
Outlook screen disappeared. I have tried it many days since, hoping for a
glitch in the system with no results!!

I can "send" if I click on the specific "email send box" but not on the Send
& Receive.

This limits me now getting any mail from my server.

I have had to go to the server's email on the server's webmail - this is
very inconvenient and I cannot download anything to my computer!! and I
absolutely loath the webmail set-up!! The server sends nothing
automatically as I am on dial-up.

I hope you are able to help me!!
So far you mentioned:

MacOS
Outlook Express
and Outlook

Outlook and Outlook Express have nothing to do with each other.

The Mac version of either product has little in common with the Windows
version as well.

Please be more specific which product you are reporting your concern
with. If it's an Apple version of the product, I'd suggest posting in
Mac support forums.
