Screen Blinks

I'm using a Toshiba M400 with an Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset and I've
upgraded to Vista Ultimate. When my Operating system loads the screen blinks
black for a few seconds before resuming. I tried downloading the latest
Intel driver but that did not fix the problem and I also loaded the most
updated BIOS from Toshiba, which also did not fix the problem. I thought it
may be a refresh issue but when I go to the setting in personalize - display
I can only choose 60 Hertz - there are no other options and "properties" is
grayed out on the advance tab. Any ideas on what may be the problem and how
to fix it to stop the blinking?

I had the same issue at first. Try opening the control panel and selecting
power options. Select High Performance instead of the default of Power
Saver. This solved my problem.

Unfortunately this did not work. I tried different settings including
adjusting to 16 bit vs. 32 bit but still no luck. Any other ideas?
