Screen blinks multiple times when opening lid

I bought my laptop a couple months ago with Vista Home Premium and the screen
blinked 3-5 times when I had closed the lid and opened it again. I brought
the computer back to the store and they advised that I get a new one since
they didnt think the blinking was normal. I replaced the computer and it only
blinked once upon opening the lid. Now it is back to blinking multiple times
after i open the lid. I have played with the power options and selected "Do
Nothing" when the lid is closed and still have the problem.

The only thing I have done since I bought the new laptop was upgrade the
memory to 1.5GB - I dont feel this would be a problem since it did the same
thing at the factory 1GB that came with the last computer

Is anyone else having this problem? If so, any solutions?

Thanks

You did not say what make the laptop is?

This is nothing to do with your vista, but it is wise to check the settings
in Control Panel/Power Options here you find setting for closing the lid. If
there are set OK it is your computer and it needs to go back.

Take it back to the seller.
