I've been using XP for about 9 months, and have mostly been pleased. I
don't recall the configuration process, but initiating connection to the
net (dialup) doesn't need entering my username and password each time.
However, lately, XP has been scrambling my password so it wouldn't connect
until I went into the setup and corrected the password. I can't tell what
it's putting in, but it is twice the length of my pasword as if it is
concatenating the current password with itself. I've seen this before, with
other systems, but it's been a long time and I don't recall what the
problem was.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

There's no relation to the size [number of characters] of your password
to the number of [stars] you see.
