scheduling tasks in calendar

Why does the start and due date in the meeting dialogue box not automatically
copy the start and due date from the task dialogue box when I schedule time
in calendar, for future tasks.

When I try to get my tasks into calendar the strat dates for all tasks
reverts to todays date.

This is ok for one or two tasks but when I have exported many future tasks
from say MS Project, this becomes irritating.

Am I missing something in the setup of my outlook. Is there a patch for this?

Why are you converting Tasks to Calendar items??? See them side by side in
1 day view of Calendar.

Set the start date in Tasks and then use the TaskPad in the 1 day view to
see current Tasks. (The Taskpad is a subset of all Tasks in your Mailbox
Tasks folder).

Make sure you also select View, TaskPad view, Active Tasks for Selected
days - this way each day you see Tasks that you need to start work on now.
