Scheduling a Task - error: 0x8007052f: Logon failure

I'm double-clicking on "Add Scheduled Task" and following the instructions
in the
"Scheduled Task Wizard", yet I can't get the task to run. Upon viewing the
associated log file, I find that the system has attempted to run the
specified task, but has failed. The following record has been left behind
in the log file:
--------
The attempt to log on to the account associated with the task failed,
therefore, the task did not run.
The specific error is:
0x8007052f: Logon failure: user account restriction. Possible reasons
are blank passwords not allowed, logon hour restrictions, or a policy
restriction has been enforced.
Verify that the task's Run-as name and password are valid and try again.
--------
The "Run-as name" seems fine (... and it should be, since I selected it
using the "Browse" option in the wizard); and as far as a password goes,
I've tried to do it both with and without a password, but no with no
success. I don't know how to check for any "logon hour" or "policy"
restrictions, and as far as I know, there aren't any on my computer.

Curiously, scheduling a virus scan from within Norton AV adds a new
scheduled task which does run successfully.

Hi,
Have you tryed to run it as Admin account?
And remember Task Scheduler will not run tasks unless set to run under a
passworded
account. There is no workaround on this.

My user account is an Administrator Account. But I don't logon with a
password. I've been searching all of the present and past group postings on
this matter, and it almost sounds to me like there is a solution other than
having to always logon to my account by typing in a password. ... But it's
all too advanced for me ... and risky ... and I'm not even sure if it really
applies.

Yes, I did find an answer at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm and
going to the heading "Scheduled Tasks - Applying/Running tasks without a
password" where it says:

For Home: (Keith Miller) Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
Value name: limitblankpassworduse, Type: REG_DWORD, Data: 0 (disabled) 1
(enabled)

It's also possible to download scripts to make (and undo) the change at
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm [see first item at line 67].

It's all of course "USE AT OUR OWN RISK". Maybe I'll try it later.
