Scheduler

How come the scheduler doesn't work properly. I have set
it for daily to run on Mon. Wed. Fri. and Sun. It only
runs on sunday. Why has this not been addressed. How do we
let Microsoft know? Do they check with thease groups? I
think we really need a way to contact the research team to
provide feedback. If we are being beta testers, we need a
way to contact the programmers in the design team. I have
beta tested software with other venders and we always had
a way to provide feedback to the design team.

This is a public beta. Such betas typically involve near-finished products,
and don't involve a staffing level allowing for significant involvement with
Microsoft staff.

In fact, this is a very long public beta--it'll be the better part of a year
before it is done, I believe. It is also a very large public beta--more
than 20 million downloads last I heard.

So--the short answer is these groups are the place to post bug reports.
Some of the vagaries of the beta product are posted to Mark L. Ferguson's
informa FAQ which can be found here:

Actually, I'm surprised by your findings, and agree that it isn't working
right. Most folks using the beta product find that scans scheduled for a
specific day of the week in fact take place two days preceding that day.
So--I'm surprised that scans work on Sunday, in your case.

However, in general, nothing about the scheduler in this product surprises
me!

(yes, it is buggy--besides the day of the week issue, try setting a scan to
10:00 AM and see how that looks in the UI. You can also try (but probably
not succeed!) to set a scan to take place anytime between noon and 12:59
PM.)

These are all the known bugs in the scheduler as I recall them but given the
range, it wouldn't surprise me if there were others!
