Scheduled tasks

We are experiencing a problem with scheduling maintenance tasks with our HP laptop computer (Windows XP). One of the tasks we programmed for is the Disk Clean Up whenever booting the computer. However, when the computer starts up, a message appears “Cannot run the scheduled taskâ€. Can’t understand why the task is not performed
