scheduled task does not show

Hi,

W2000 professional SP4

I use scheduled task a lot on my laptop, but now on my
desktop the SAME tasks do not run:

the task runs but does not show (so username and password
are ok). If I put a "pause" command in batch file then the
task status remains "running" so somehow it
recongises "something" but does not do anything.

It doesn't matter if I run a scheduled batchfile or a
scheduled windows-application....it does not run.

Could it be related to Mcfee virusscan version 7 ?

Make sure to run the task under the same account as
your current foreground session.

Exactly.
And Leon, the reason why you need to have the task set to use the same
account as the one logged in to see the application is for security reasons:
This way, a user cannot have access to a job that another user is running
