Scheduled shut down

I would like to create say a batch file that would shut down a application,
such as Media Player, and then shut down the computer at a set time, one
that I set.
And turn the computer on at a set time.
Is this possible?

Hi,

To turn off your computer, create a schedule task with the following command:

shutdown.exe -s -t 00

Set the task to run when you want to shut the computer down. Media player should get closed
automatically when the computer shuts down.
