Scanning yearbook pages for PS3

What is the best method for saving pages from a high school yearbook for use
in PS3? A friend of mine is trying to do this. She said that she saved the
pages as JPEG. When she tried to import them into her PS, she was unable to
do so. Something about resolution....????

Am going to guess that PS3 (Photoshop 3?) is complaining about the color
depth of the saved image. If I remember correctly, PS likes images that are
24- or 32-bit resolution if you're going to work with them as .PSD files.

There are at least two places to check settings. The first is in Display
Properties> Settings. If hardware supports it, use the "Highest- 32-bit"
setting.

Also check the software used for scanning. You want this set to capture the
image in at least 24 bit color. If the photos are black and white, there
may be some specialized settings in the scanning software. If none of the
settings offer a high quality grayscale image, use the color setting
instead.

She'll need to re-scan the photos using the new settings.
