Scanning System Files

Does anyone know of a program that can check the integrity of my system files
OTHER THAN SFC (System File Checker)? SFC cannot find the files it needs even
though I pointed it at the FULL I386 folder (~500 MB). Nor does SFC tell me
what's missing/corrupted.

I need another (commercial) program that can check my system and report what
files are in trouble.

(NOTE: Ignore my previous post on this subject. This is a whole new line of
questioning.)

If your having system problems, and sfc says your missing files, then attempt
a repair install.

This would be in the event viewer.

There are no other reliable tools to do this. The next step would be to do
a repair install.

I have no errors in any of my Event logs.

Thanks, you're the only one who addressed my question. If there is no other
software available, then there's nothing I can do. (since there are no error
logs, no crashes, etc. I'm guessing that whatever SFC is not seeing must not
be a Windows System file -- like I said, I also used a FULL I386 folder. And
I just finished reformatting my HDD and loading all my programs (two weeks
ago.)

Don't really know what's going on, but no Windows tool can do the job. Sad,
but oh-well.

PS
I did find a way to decipher SFC what is looking for. It's some DLLs that
are missing in the dllcache folder. I386 should have taken care of providing
a backup, so stumped again.)

I'll just do a comparison with the dllcache and System dll's to determine
the difference and then either manually copy/register the files or go to
DLL-Cache.com and download them (if I can isolate the missing cache files.)

Thanks again. UNLESS ANYONE KNOWS OF A THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE THAT DOES SYSTEM
INTEGRITY CHECKS FOR XP, THEN CONSIDER THIS DISCUSSION
