I have an AOC Spectrum F-610 scanner. Unfortunatelly, the original driver
doesn't work in Windows XP, so my scanner gets stuck in the middle of a
scanning. I have sent it check, and it's ok in hardware, mechanism,
everything runs smoothly.

The official AOC web site doesn't have a driver for XP. I need alternatives.
Unofficial driver sites, etc. I refuse to believe I'll have to throuw away a
perfectly good scanner just because its driver is too old and the company too
lazy.

Hope anyone can help. Thanks.

Um, let see, the scanner was originally supplied with win95 drivers....how
many years ago was that?
And yet you have obviously got a newish PC.
I suppose a google search would be too much to ask?

To obtain Win XP driver for an obsolete scanner,
you have two options:
1. Write your own Win XP driver.
2. Hire a software developer to write a Win XP driver for you.

Some time ago I had a similar problem with an old Plustek scanner.
Look on Google for Easy Scan (IIRC) a freeware program which should work for
you until you get a new scanner.
HTH,
Jim.
