Scandisk

Can not find ScanDisk on my WindowsXP. For Windows98 this
was used in conjunction with Clean and Defrag. Is Scan
disk not needed in WindowsXP? Second post.

Max,

Open My Computer, right click on C Drive, click on
properties, click on Tool tab. Should see disk error
check there.

Scandisk is now known as Check Disk in Windows XP:

Open the Command Prompt and type: CHKDSK /F , and hit enter.
Answer "yes" and reboot your computer.

1. Open XP's "Help and Support".
2. Look under "Pick a Help topic".
3. Click on "Performance and Maintenance"
