In Windows XP, scandisk has been replaced by checkdisk, also known as Error
Checking. To find it, open My Computer and right-click on the drive you wish
to check. Select Properties and then select the Tools tab. Error Checking is
your first button on top.
Bear in mind that to fix errors on your system partition you will need to
restart your computer.
