I had a computer crash while working with my MS Word 2000 document.
After restarting the computer Windows XP performed scan disk and
removed this document.

The document was saved many times before and contains important data.
Where can I find this file after scan disk.

Can I go back to the point before the scan disk?

How to open and recover (at least the older version of this file)
after I find this damaged Word 2000 file? Which program should I use?

Thanks for help!!!

Should be Windows Check Disk removed my damaged Word file. The file
system is FAT32.

Unforunately the ~file is only about 100 bit large and opens a blank
page. The original document was abut 100 KB large.

I have no idea where Check Disk keeps the removed damaged files.

I believe that you're SOL.

File fragments saved by Windows Disk Defragmenter, ScanDisk or CheckDisk
have the .chk suffix.

You may have a folder called Found.
