Scan Disk Problem

I have a problem that when I schedule a scandsik to start
in the next reboot it states it got cancelled (Scan is
cancelled)without me cancelling it. due to this problem
lots of my files are begin corrupted. CVan anyone please
help me!

check the event viewer to see if there are any follow-up

I think I see part of the problem. Scandisk is not running because XP
has NO utility known as Scandisk. It can't run what it doesn't
include.
