Is there a text file log that details the results of the CHKDSK scan for WXP
Pro. If so, what is file name?

You will only find limited reports in Event Viewer.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools, and
Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information
regarding Event ID, Source and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

You could try HD Tune (freeware) for information.
Download and run it and see what it turns up.

Select the Info tabs and place the cursor on the drive under Drive letter
and then double click the two page icon ( copy to
Clipboard ) and copy into a further message.

Select the Health tab and then double click the two page icon ( copy to
Clipboard ) and copy into a further message.

Hope this helps.

If chkdsk runs during the startup phase then its log is recorded
where all other logs are recorded, in the event logger (eventvwr.exe).

Wasn't it "skeet3" <[email protected]> in message
, who said something
like......???

If by some chance you're running it from the command line, then you could
create your own log by putting
ResultsLog.txt

at the end of the command you are using.

Thanks,
I found it the list in event log! Had failed to view the properties of
event to see the log info.
