Scam???

I received the following email message from Microsoft and
wonder if it is a scam?

From: "Microsoft" <[email protected]>
To: <[email protected]>
Subject: Use this patch immediately !
Date: Wednesday, May 05, 2004 12:04 AM

Dear friend , use this Internet Explorer patch now!
There are dangerous virus in the Internet now!
More than 500.000 already infected!

The "patch" is a virus, Microsoft don't send patches. (you will most likely
receive more now :-(
