Scaleable logrithmic Y axis

Why isn't there an Excel feature that allows the Y axis to scale, and the
user to be able to select gridlines appropriately? For instance a data
range from 9.5 to 10.5 is only 1 unit but the chart displays a range from 1
to 100 when a logrithmic scale is selected.
 
Yes, it is unfortunate that MS hasn't provided that capability. In the
meantime, if you are looking for a workaround, check the 'Flexible Log
Scale' page of my web site.
