Saving Work in Excel

In the past, whenever I save a spreadsheet in Excel, it comes up in My
Documents. It stopped doing that and I don't know why. Now, it's coming up
in History. Anyone know why it would change and how I get it back into My
Documents and have it stop saving things in History.

goto 'Tools - options - General' and change the default location for
saving documents
 
On the menu bar click Tools/Options/General Tab, in the Default file
location: enter C:\My Documents.
