Open your document and set the zoom setting to what you need to see the
whole page (maybe even Print Preview). Press ALT+PRINTSCREEN to capture the
image. Open Microsoft Photo Editor and click the "Edit" menu and select
"Paste as new image". Click the "Selection" tool and draw a box around the
real part you need, press CTRL-C to copy, click "Edit", "Paste as new image"
and do a "File", "Save as". Save it as a JPG or whatever format you need.

For PDF you need Acrobat (or a clone). You can also create EPS via Acrobat,
or by installing a PostScript printer driver on port FILE: and printing to
that.

For jpg/gif/png/tif you will need to use screen capture. SnagIt is the best
of its type (linked from the favourites page of my web site) and includes a
'printer' driver for the purpose.
For TIFF and maybe BMP, you could probably use your fax software to produce
a file.
For PDF, you need a PDF application, such as Acrobat, or one of the cheaper
clones - links again on the web site.

DId you try the "paint" program in XP? Paste the image there. It can
save in a number of different formats.

If you really need control over the image, get The Gimp (a free program
available for download) which has very extensive functionality.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
