Saving Vitals

Vital files (documents, pictures, etc.) I've tried to copy from my hard drive
to disk are not readable afterwards. I tried to make a copy of a downloaded
program from my hard drive to disk "just in case," but that disk isn't
readable either, though the program is supposedly on the disk . . .

Also, other than actually writing down "favorites" as I save them in IE, is
there any way to save the listing to disk? Sites saved to favorites is
usually for convenience more than need, so not as important as knowing how to
copy my vital stuff that I can't afford to lose (already have twice by now!).
Is there some way to prompt for a regular "save" of vitals to disk?

I asked this question before and was referred to some "Googled" sites that
didn't help. Please, just tell me how stupid I am! Don't send me someplace
to get lost in mumbo-jumbo . . . Thank you "oh, so very" much!

What type of disk are you trying to copy your files to?

In IE there is a Import/Export Wizard under the File menu that can save
your Favourites.

Thanx for your interest in helping me William. I'm using imation brand CD-R
disks to copy to, 80min/700mb.

Yes, there is an Import/Export Wizard . . . I just looked at it quickly to
answer your question. I'll have to check it out. Thanx.

What else can you offer up? OKS

Have you tried another CD brand? Are you using any Software Burning
program or XP's built-in burning software?

Haven't tried another brand disk. I used whatever program is on my
computer to burn CD's, don't know if it's XP or something else . . . OKS

William! Thank you, thank you! I will read through it all later today and
try it out. If it works (looks like it's the answer I needed), I'll let you
know. Thanx "oh, so very" much for your help! X, OKS
