saving to image file

I always right clicked on an image and "save picture as", local disc C, web page, images. Now my "images" click takes me to an odd unused image file. My Front Page image file exists and I can use it in creating pages but I can't add to it. Some preference must have changed but I can't seem to fix it. This happened 1? year ago and after 2 months a computer shop fixed it but doesn't remember how.
 
Of course be sure you have copyright permission before using an image. Make
a new folder on your desktop for these images, then IMPORT them into your FP
site.
For the very best results do all your image editing outside of FP and then
IMPORT them into the correct place within your site.
