Saving to different format without renaming workpage?

Is there any way to save a sheet to a different format WITHOUT it changing
the name of the page? Alternatively, in other software, you can usually
export the data leaving the on-screen data intact. Is there any way to do
this? I find the process of saving to a different file format, frankly,
painful. First, you are warned that it is not in excel format, then because
the name changes on the worksheet, you are asked if you want to save the data
in a different format....etc. So, to simply export the page would be helpful.
Any advice?

Right click the tab with the sheet name. Then select Copy and in the
pulldown menu select new workbook.

If you are looking at saving as .csv >Try save as .csv and ignore the rest of
the messages..and close the saved workbook. It is giving the alert messages
because there are many features that you may have in your document that won't
be saved, such as Formulas; Cell Formatting, macros etc.

Hi Jacob...regardless of what you "ignore", saving in any format changes the
name of the current sheet to the saved name...so this doesn't work. However,
Joels method of copying it to another workbook is a work around. Does anyone
agree that Excel should allow you to simply "export" the page?

Thanks,
Pradhan
