saving to cd

I have just started to make a basic website. I composed it in Publisher
converted it for the web and opened it in Frontpage. I want to save the
website on a cd so that I can take it to work. I live out of town and cannot
get high speed internet but have high speed at work. When I save the
frontpage file to the cd and then reopen it to check it none of the pictures
show up.
I can't find where the links are to the pix.
My home computer came with Front Page 2000 already loaded and I don't have a
tutorial.
Thanks

If you are looking for a quick web site and don't plan to any advance features, etc. then Publisher
and Word, are fine, especially for intranet sites where all users are using IE under Windows.

To follow on from my last post..I have read the many posts which advise
against using Publisher to create webpages.

One suggestion from Katwomen (back in 2005!) was to start afresh in FP and
cut / paste from the Publisher document.
Having already spent considerable time on this project - is it likely that
doing the above will be worthwhile?

What kind of a site is it? Can we see what you have so far?
Yes, definately! Before using any text copy and paste it into Notepade to
strip away all of the formatting.
I would like to make a comment to the Microsoft Company - it is obvious
from
all the posts on this subject that many, many people have wasted much of
their valuable time trying to use a function of one of their products -
(maybe more than one product - how does Word do on the webpage production
front? - it also offers the option of saving a document as a web; I have
not
tried that) - which does not do the job properly! if at all.
Again, it you use WORD you need to copy into Notepad to remove the terrible
MS excessive code.

Do you know anything about using CSS for formatting the text after you have
cleaned it all up?
Yes, there should be a warning on the box that there are many capabilities
that should NOT be used!
