Saving the file to the hard drive first and then copying the file to the cd
rw disk is usually the only way to successfully accomplish what you want to
do. Files copied to a cdrw disk are generally not Read only while files
copied to a CDR disk are.
That being said, I am using Win XP and office 97 and Roxio's easy cd creator
6 does allow you to "save as" from office programs directly to a cd rw disk
that was formatted with Roxio's Drag to Disk(formerly Direct CD). I don't
know about other Operating systems like Win 98 etc.
So, if you want to Save As and load and edit files directly from a cdrw
disk, you need at least Easy cd cdreator 6.
