saving pictures problem

a wierd thing has started happening when using my browser
(ie6 with all updates available) ....when i right click on
a picture on any page i am not able to save the picture
as it is it comes up everytime with the save dialog box
but replaces the filename with "untitled" and the file
type as .bmp even when the pic has a name and is .jpg
file or other ...
any idea why this is happening would be great help thanks
in advance ...

The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.
