saving pictures in Win XP

I try to save a picture from a website witch is in jpg-
format. The only file format can choose in the saving
dialog box is bmp? I use to be able to save in different
formats, but now only in bmp. It must be a setting
somwhere!?

You could attempt to save the pics as jpegs by
typing "filename.jpg" in the File name box. Just
substitute the name you want for "filename"

Empty your Internet cache.

From IE, click Tools | Internet Options... | General tab.

You may also want to set it to empty the cache every time you close IE,
especially if you have broadband and can download a page again almost as
fast as retrieving it from the cache. That setting is on the Advanced tab
under Security.
