Saving Pictures in General

A basic question, the answer for which I haven't been able to find an answer,
please help: When I add pictures to a webpage and save that page, a dialogue
box pops up to save the picture files to photogallery. This is no problem,
but why does FP also create some other directory folders with the same
pictures in it, albeit they are of a different file size? What is going on?
I'm not sure if I should save them to customized directories for easier
cleanup later.

I use FP2003.

Are you intentionally creating the Photogalleries?

When adding images to a page...as in the design of a page...you should not create a gallery.

In either case you'd Import the image files into FP - usually put them in the image folder.

Then from there place them into the design of your site.

In the case of creating a photogallery, yes, FP will create several abitrarily named folders with photogallery images and thumbnails, etc.
