saving outlook 2003 email messages to filesystem removes attachments

Hello,

I am doing a migration from OE to Oulook 2003/Exchange server for a
law firm. People in the company have the need to save the email (.eml)
files? into a filesystem folder (not an outlook folder) for archival
and records keeping. This is can be done with no problems with outlook
express. When done with Outlook 2003, it is saved as a text file and
the attachments are lost. Is there no way to do this with outlook
2003? I know that we can save the attachments in an exchange/outlook
folder but we need to save them to a filesystem folder.

Outlook 2002 works fine, Outlook express works fine, Outlook 2003
saves txt files with no attachments inside!! Of course they are all
using outlook 2003.

Outlook 2002 doesn't do this either as you can't store attachments in a
txt-file.

You can however drag & drop messages out of Outlook into an Explorer window.
This way you'll save the messages as msg-file which also includes the
attachment.
