Saving letter gives problems with template

Hi there,

I have three templates vvbrief, vvfax, vvconcept. All three are located on
the network. Every user is able to use this template to create a letter.
The template can be opened via a menu in Word 2003, one can (off course)
create a new letter. After finishing the letter it is saved via the "save
as..." button.
On closing the letter the following question appears: "do you want to save
changes in vvbrief", even though it is a template!

Can anyone help me?? I am at wits ends.

Thanks already

Tools | Options | Save, uncheck "Prompt to save Normal template" and you
won't see that message any more. But you're a lot safer leaving it checked
and just choosing no at that prompt. It protects you against accidentally
altering the template.

How are you using the templates?
Are you creating new (unnamed) documents from them as templates are supposed
to be used, or are you opening them as documents, and making changes? If the
latter, change to the former.

Thanks Kat and Graham,

But both of your answers do not apply to the problem.

Thanks anyway,

I am still searching for the solution.
