I've suddenly encountered a problem saving graphics files
to the "MY PICTURES" folder from the web. I right-click on
the image, select 'SAVE IMAGE AS", and select my folder,
then click on the "SAVE" button. When I open the folder,
the image isn't there.

This function was working until now. What settings do I
need to check? What may have changed?

You need to clear your internet cache. You can do this from I.E. by
accessing Tools > Internet Options > General. Hit the "Delete Files" button.

The explanation I've heard is that a corrupted file causes this to happen.

I'm using Netscape - not I.E.

Are you sure you're saving it in the "correct" My Pictures" folder? If
you have admin rights you may be saving it in another profile's My
Pictures folder. In an account with admin rights, do a search starting
from C:\ for a filename that you think you've saved. If you find it,
take a close look at it's path.

I've already tried searching for the file starting from C:|
