In the IE6, XP, we save the web address in the favourites tool bars, is there
a way for me to save these address before I reformat my pc?. Your help much
appreciated, thanks

They are in :
Documents and Settings\Administrator\Favorites

Save the Favorites Folder then copy it back to the same place after you
reinstall XP.

ok, im no genius, but i did do a cert II in information technology. anyways,
i think that in the windows folder there should be a folder called
"favourites" or even in the program files/internet explorer folder. if you
want to save your favourites then copy this folder to cd first then just
paste it back after you've reformatted your computer - Trev

Put a floppy in your floppy drive. Open IE. Go to File/Import Export and a
wizard will appear. Choose Export Favorites. Continue with the wizard and
choose your A drive (the floppy) and export them. Once you've reformatted,
use the same procedure except use Import instead of Export.

Hi,

Close. The favorites folder in a Win9x system is %windir%\favorites, but in
WinXP it's a per user basis under %userprofile%\favorites (%userprofile% is
normally C:\Documents and Settings\<user_name>).

Christina,

The best way is to copy & paste them directory into a cd or some other kind
of disk. they're located at:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your name\Favorites.
