Open Windows Explorer|TOOLS menu|FOLDER OPTIONS|FILE TYPES tab

Locate the file type in the list, select it and click on ADVANCED...
Checkmark the "confirm after download" box.

To get the download dialog box, enable the "confirm open after download"
option for that filetype:

Click "Start" -> "Program Files" -> "Windows Explorer".

Then click "Tools" -> "Folder Options".

Change to the "File Type" tabs.

Scroll down to locate the file type. Highlight the filetype (example :"PPT
Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation") and click the "Advanced" button.

Then check the option "confirm open after download".

Also, set the "NoSelectDownloadDir" to "0"
