Saving files in lower case

After upgrading to XP I have discovered that any file,
text or graphics I edit or create is saved in upper case.
Does anyone know why.

Something changed the Registry.
To have the file name retain the same case

I will try it, however I only notice it when transfering
files to a W98 machine via a zip disk
